We are seeking a hands-on Controller to manage all day-to-day financial operations. You will personally handle accounts receivable, accounts payable, purchase orders, payroll, 401(k), budgeting, forecasting, reconciliations, royalty reporting, and all other financial tasks. This role is critical to the smooth financial operation of the business and provides direct support to leadership in strategic decision-making.
· Process accounts payable, manage vendor invoices, and track company expenses.
· Handle purchase orders (POs) from creation to reconciliation.
· Oversee payroll and to ensure accurate, timely processing, tax compliance, and adherence to labor laws.
· Oversee the 401(k) plan, including employee contributions, compliance, and reporting.
· Prepare and maintain financial statements, reconciliations, and reports for leadership and external parties.
· Develop budgets, forecasts, and financial projections to support business planning.
· Perform royalty reporting, ensuring accuracy and timely submission.
· Monitor and maintain internal controls to protect company assets.
· Analyze financial performance, identify trends, and provide actionable insights for management.
· Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local financial regulations.
· Provide financial data and support to HR as needed (payroll analysis, labor cost reporting, benefits evaluation).
· Recommend process improvements to streamline financial operations and reporting.
· Handle any other financial tasks as required to ensure smooth operations.
· CPA preferred.
· Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience managing all accounting and finance functions.
· Proficiency in QuickBooks Online is required.
· Extensive experience in AR/AP, payroll, PO management, 401(k), budgeting, forecasting, reconciliations, financial reporting, and royalty reporting.
· Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage all financial operations personally.
· Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
· Strong communication skills, with the ability to present financial data clearly to leadership.
· Maintain strict confidentiality of financial records and sensitive company information.
